Basic Troubleshooting for Insert simcard

Insert simcard is commonly when your phone are dropping at many times and somtimes by changing the simcamd frequently by another sim, so to avoid this kind of trouble please take good care of your phone and use one simcard at a time.

So okay lets find out how to repair or solve this matter.

1. check your simcard if it is not broken
2.check the simcard connector if the legs are not open copper


3. reheat the simcard ic by using hot air machine.

Basic Troubleshooting for No Display

No display from the LCD, this kind of term is sometimes are miss called by dead set because No Display is sound like Dead set, so we better be careful to understand what really it is. so okay here are some common troubleshooting about this matter. for some of you are newbie i will show you the image of LCD.

No display on the LCD is common cause by dropping or sitting it with the pocket.

1. check if the LCD is broken.


2. check if the flex wire are still intact.
3.check if the lcd connector are still form align.

Basic Troubleshooting for Keypad Malfunction

Keypad malfunction is commonly cause by water damage of just a little bit water and all of the line of keypad are destroyed, to repair this kind of trouble, we must open whole cellphone and try to clean the keypad mat just like this image.


so this the image of keypad mat, try to lacate the continuity if the cleaning solution is not working, trace every single connection to find some lost contact.

Basic Troubleshooting for Hung-up

When the Cellphone is start Hanging Up, there is only one solution on that problem. other is causing by Viruses (for High in Model Only) or File system Error. try re-formatting or re-programming, it restored the old File system or Replacing the file Error on the phone.

Basic Troubleshooting for No Voices

Voices and Tones are devided by outgoing , incoming and ringtones.
so lets find it how it works and finding out the problem


1. No incoming voices- when someone is calling and when you try to answer it, no sound on the caller but your voices is to loud on the caller tones. and the problem is your earpiece or speaker, try replace with the new one.

2. No Outgoing Voices - when someone is calling and when you try to answer it, you can hear what he/she says but when you answer it he/she can't hear you anymore. and the problem is your mouthpiece or microphone, try replace with the new one.

3. No RingTones / AlertTones - when someone is calling you, you can't hear anything from your phone. the problem is your Buzzer. try replace with the new one.

Basic Troubleshooting for No Signal / No Networks

No network is refer on what provider you have like Smart, Globe, Sun, (Philippines Only)

1. check if your provider is still active ( simcard registration failed)
2. check the antenna if there continuity.
3. check the ic component of the phone like antenna switch, hagar, mjolner,P.A etc..

Basic Troubleshooting for Not charging

Not Charging sometimes is hard to find a way to repair it, but we can follow step by step to understand what is the main reason on it.

Okay Lets Start it!..

- check if the charger is working by checking wire with tester, connection,voltage.

- check the charger pin, continuity or charging terminal of the phone.
- check the charging ic or better replace with the new one.

Basic Troubleshooting for Dead set / Dead phone

Troubleshooting on dead phone is a lot of possible solution, so we must identify first how was this happen on the phone whether it was suddenly or something happen. Okay lets do the rock!...

How to Troubleshoot the Dead Phone:

- check the power switch or power on button if it is broken or try replace with a new one.
- check the battery if it is fully loaded or try replace with a new one.
- check the battery terminal by using tester, connect the -/+ of the tester to the -/+ of the
terminal. if it is moving then the terminal is Good.
- check if the program is dead by checking to the computer.

If the phone is Water Damage, then wash it with thinner and brush all the way, dry it and try it. or below is the other way to fix water damage by covering it in plastic ware with rice.

How to Open-line

Openline is Commonly term Unlock witch it means Unlock all block network on the Unit.
unlocking unit is needed for the user to change the network provider on their choice.

so this is the common step to Unlock the Phone. and still we use the sarasoft aplication.

1. Connect box and make sure it is completely driver installed to run properly.
2. Open sarasoft application "dctxbb5" and connect the phone
3. Click connect at the upper left
4. Select category if it is dct4, dct3, bb5 etc...
5. Check the box
-full ui defaults
-ui factory defaults
-full factory defaults
-Reset user locks
-init simlocks
6.click UI setting upper center side
7. after done... your phone is now Unlock or Openline

How to Re-format /Re-program

Before we start our lesson on programing, we must choose our box and software to be use.
on our tutorial system I strongly recommended to use Ufs3 box gadget (I've never promoting this product) due to common on the market.

Okay let's do it!....

1. Connect box and make sure it is completely driver installed to run properly.
2. Open sarasoft application "dctxbb5"
3. Click connect at the upper left
4. Select category if it is dct4, dct3, bb5 etc...
5. Select mcu and ppm (you must provide your mcu+ppm or download it on internet)
6. Click Flash or start to begin the flashing system and after done it is Finnish.



NOTE: THIS ONLY FOR SARASOFT APLICATION ONLY

T-screwdriver

This is the T-screwdriver that most tools on opening cellphone, specially when the phone have a t-screw locked. unlike the other unit, Nokia is most t-screw user.

Note:
never use none T-crew on Nokia phone.

TESTER

This is one of the most important tools for repairing, like on Electronic Repair, tester is the way to analyze the Circuit if it is short of low on contact. Electronic test equipment (sometimes called "testgear" or "bench top") is used to create signals and capture responses from electronic Devices Under Test (DUTs). In this way, the proper operation of the DUT can be proven or faults in the device can be traced and repaired. Use of electronic test equipment is essential to any serious work on electronics systems.

There are two kinds of Tester, the one is Digital and the One is Analog.


Analog Tester:

this is the image of analog tester with two short wired conect with two color the red indicate on positive (+) and the red for negative (-)











Digital Tester:

like in the analog, it has also two short wire with red (+) and black (-) connected but this is different on reading visual image.

COMPUTER

Computer is one of the very most important tools on repairing cellphone because it was almost 80% on cellphone is computer base system witch it mean that you can't go further on repairing if you have not one.

COMPUTER - A device that computes, especially a programmable electronic machine that performs high-speed mathematical or logical operations or that assembles, stores, correlates, or otherwise processes information. One who computes.

CELLPHONE SOFTWARE

Cellphone Software is refer to its definition "Software" which is general term for the various kinds of programs used to operate computers and related devices.

There a lots of cellphone software can be use on any kind of model, and brand.
for today's software lesson, we must still focus on Nokia Brand for this common brand on our country, below is the list of software we can use on further lesson.

SOLDERING LED

Led is the tiny stick like copper to join parts by soldering it using soldering station

Through-hole LEDs (that is LEDs with leads that pass through the circuit board) are generally easier to work with than surface mount LEDs (which sit on the surface of the board). Leaded solder is always much easier to work with than lead-free solder, but requires extra care due to potential health hazards. Also, one of the most important aspects of hand soldering is to use the correct size of tip, and keep it clean. The soldering tip width should be about as wide as the pads on the circuit board. Don't use a surface mount soldering tip is you plan on soldering through-hole LEDs, and likewise, don't use a soldering gun designed for house plumbing, to solder components on circuit boards. Be sure to wet your soldering sponge and wipe your iron tip each time you remove it from the stand.

FLUX SOLUTION

This flux is sticky paste that contain liquid to prevent the heat or controlling heat from Hot air machine to remove or replace some of IC parts.. other uses of this item is to reactive some of Weak IC.

While using this, you must wear some of mask to avoid inhaling Smoke that can cause Diseases like Cancer.

SOLDERING STATION

Same as the hot air this Device is also the most and very important among the other, so if you really want to repair, so you must also have this one first same as hot air. even you don't have some of the tools like computer, gadget or any device, you can still repair some light damage phone like need to re-soldered some of part of the phone
SOLDERING STATION - A usually rod-shaped metal implement with a pointed or wedge-shaped tip, used in soldering metallic parts, the use of this gadget is to melt the led on cover on the feet of of some ic part.


- A tool for joining metals with solder; has a wedge-shaped metal bit, usually of copper, which is heated.
- Tool with an internal heating element used to heat surfaces being soldered to the point where the solder becomes molten. so lets try it now and be careful on the head of this device due to super heat to avoid contact on your skin it will cost much pain thank you for visiting here at my site.

HOT AIR MACHINE

So this Device is the most and very important among the other, so if you really want to repair, so you must have this one first. even you don't have some of the tools like computer, gadget or any device, you can still repair some light damage phone like need to reheat some of IC

HOT AIR MACHINE -

is a device that contain filament inside on it's body to provide even heat together
with the air pump gives an heat air to the parts of cellphone where the defective
IC is intentionally melting in a purpose of replacing it with the new one.
